New attack against Bethlehem last
night. I was at my cousin's house designing the website of the Displaced
Shepherds - which will come online soon. when I went out to smoke a
cigarette. I was together with my colleague and one of the activists in
Rapprochement George Q., we both heard the explosions. At the first
moment, we did not realize it might be bombarding. Then we heard the We used to see the destroyed buildings in Lebanon and Sarajevo on TV. We never thought this could happen here in Palestine. However, it is the same power that is bombarding Lebanon and other places is the same that is shelling and bombarding the towns and the refugee camps in Palestine both in the West Bank and Gaza.
Still the Israelis are looking for non-lethal weapon to use. What a joke. The missile that Killed Hussein Abayat killed another two women (Azizeh and Rahma) who were visiting their relatives whose house was shelled one night before on November 8th. What pictures should I include in this e-mail?? Which one among the
tens of pictures that I have of the damaged houses in Beit Sahour and Bethlehem
and Beit Jala, and other areas that I do not have pictures of like Ramallah and Gaza and and

helicopters
in the sky of Beit Jala opening the fire of its heavy machine guns at
Bethlehem. at that moment, I got a phone call from my parents asking me
not to come back home, because they do not want me to walk in the streets in the
night because of the helicopter. The sound was horrible, it was continuous.
I thought sadly to myself "tomorrow there will be more
funerals". However, luckily enough, there were no injuries.
However, the good news that there were no injuries were not the only news that I
got after making some phone calls to ask about Bethlehem. The bad news of the
many injured people in the village of Hussan was shocking accompanying the news
of no casualties.
Dear friends, now
in this moment while writing this to you, I hear the sound of the Helicopters
over Bethlehem. I hope this night will pass safe without any bombardment
or casualties.
