Dear Mr. Sarid,

The leader of the opposition in the Israeli parliament Yousi Sarid did not want to be left over in the coordinated Israeli attacks on Arafat. From the Knesset stage he insisted on advising Arafat to stop flying from one country to another, to spend his time in Gaza or Ramallah, and act against the developing anarchy which he described as "killing us all". He, as well, firmly demanded from Arafat to stop playing with fire. He did not forget to state clearly at which side he and his party stand in this conflict.

To start with, I am not a fan of president Arafat. But I have to say loudly and clearly that Mr. Sarid has to learn to run his own business and direct his advises to his Prime Minster. Not because I do not value the wisdom of Mr. Sarid, but rather, and mostly I feel that Mr. Sarid is only good at telling Palestinians how to behave and when they do not listen, sorry obey instructions, he gets angry and threatens with " search for me".

He may genuinely, think that he is our savior, or at least the one who holds our hand towards the safety shore. Mr. Sarid, we trusted, more than necessary, your words about the striving for peace Israeli public, the peaceful intentions of many Israeli governments, and about the little psychological barriers for which you need our help to overcome. President Arafat, in doing so, and in genuinely believing in the Israeli desire for peace, absorbed humiliations, tolerated all the violations of signed accords, and painfully watched your governments swallow what is left of Palestinian land like a piece of soft cheese. In all cases you rushed to him with your wisdom and advices of how to act and why to tolerate.

Mr. Sarid, all of what you told us about Israelis and Israeli governments that you served in, were straight lies. Why are you always disappointed of Palestinians, don't you look at the mirror? Can't you see the Israeli society acting as a punch of occupiers with the settlers at the forefront? All occupiers can act nicely if they are not challenged. When occupation and aggression are challenged and resisted all occupiers are alike. Stop dreaming about ethical superiority because it only originates from a racist mentality.

Mr. Sarid if you are disappointed by how your people behave why are you shouting in the wrong direction?

Yes you always stood firmly against the expansion of Israeli colonies in the highly populated Palestinian areas, so what!!, did the expansion and the build up of new ones ever seized? While when President Arafat committed himself to the painful Oslo process, he fulfilled all of his obligations as painful as they were. Sir, the minute you can deliver your wisdom is welcomed, until then look carefully at your backyard where the rotten is filling the place.

What advice would you forward to president Arafat? Stop the Intifada and comeback to the negotiation table? Sir, You know better. Finally, I want to agree with you that Bashar Alasad is not a good reader of history. Racism in Israel is better described if compared to the whites of Apartheid South Africa.
